Blustery COLD Monday morning

This was my view on my venture to work this morning.
Cael and Gaven decided they were too tired after school to go get their tree, so we changed our plans. Christmas cookies!! The worst part of cooking making for my kids is waiting for the dough to be made. So I've made all of the dough over the last few weeks and frozen it. This also cuts down on the messes I have to clean up after they go to bed. So every few nights, we'll pull out a dough and make our cookies. Since Monday is a Tae Kwon Do night, we are going for an easy cookie tonight. Chocolate chip - but with red and green M & M's.
Shane's request was peanut butter kisses. However, we know we can't make those until closer to Christmas....cause Daddy loves to snack on them at night!
The set up. Have kids only 1 year apart is like having twins (at least I imagine it as such).....so everything has to be equal. A spoon, pan and cooling rack for each.
Each wants a turn to put it in the oven.
Notice Gaven has a cell phone in his hand. He played Angry Birds the entire time we were making cookies.
Karter tried to keep himself occupied during the process.
Too close to bedtime for Karter...night, night!

I saved a small spoonful of batter for each. The deal was, if they didn't lick their fingers while we made cookies, they could have the spoonful and a few M & M's.
When we were all done, Cael wanted to dance....as he sang "Daisy dukes, bikinis on top" ha ha ha
